Funeral Mass for Mary Louise (nee Kostrab) Retych, 95, of Newbury, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.
Mrs. Retych passed away Friday, May 4, 2018, at her son’s residence in Newbury.
Born Dec. 12, 1922, in Willoughby, she had been a lifetime Lake County resident.
Mary was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Willoughby, having been a parishioner for 95 years. She was also a graduate of Willoughby Union High School. Mary enjoyed her family and cooking Sunday dinners, loved doing word search puzzles, working in her garden, growing flowers and yard work.
She was the loving mother of Frank J. (Karen S.) Retych Jr. Thomas J. (Linda L.) Retych; cherished grandmother of Bryan (Karen), Kevin (fiancée, Julie), Danielle (Tom), Melissa, Aaron and Adam; great-grandmother of Zachary, Max, Alexys, Miranda and Kaitlyn; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank J, Retych; parents, Albert and Mary (nee Blasko) Kostrab; and siblings, Frank Kostrab, Agnes Hanson, Joseph Kostrab, Albert Kostrab, Millie Glasier and Charles Kostrab.
Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 noon and 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
