Marilyn R. Barber, 87, of Eastlake, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018, at her residence in Eastlake with her loving family at her side.
Born June 19, 1931, in Kane, Pa., she had been a resident of Lake County for the past 50 years.
Mrs. Barber had worked as an educator for 50 years in public and private schools.
Marilyn was a member of East Shore United Universalist Church in Kirtland. She loved her family and her art, continuing long after her retirement.
She was the loving mother of Jeffrey (Kathleen) Barber, Gregory Barber, and Pamela (Scott) Allen; cherished grandmother of Daniel (Leah) Barber, Geoffrey Barber, Alison Barber and Sydney Allen; sister of Addie Paul and Bruce Rice; former mother-in-law of Etsuko Barber; and aunt of nieces and nephews.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her son, Scott Barber; and parents, Norman and Alice (nee Johnson) Rice.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
