Private services and burial will be held for Robert Dale Smith, 79, of Mentor.
Mr. Smith passed away Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2018, in Chardon.
Born Jan. 19, 1939, in Cleveland, he had been a resident of Lake County for more than 50 years.
Mr. Smith was a U.S. Air Force veteran, loved the Cleveland Browns and WWE Wrestling, and adored his grandchildren.
He was the loving father of Robert Smith, Jeffrey Smith, Tania (Robert) Allen and Christopher Smith (Katie Brown); cherished grandfather of Bobby, Amy, Victory, Zachary, Parker, Ryder, Bailey, Olivia, Kylie and Aiden; great-grandfather of Jackson, Ian, Owen and Isabel; and brother of Phyllis (Bill) Harrison.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nancy E. (nee Wetzel) Smith; son, Gary; parents, Homer and Ruth (nee Binegar) Smith; and siblings, Doris, Homer and John.
Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.
