Obituary for Janet Kathryn Davenport

Memorial services for Janet Kathryn (nee Heckman) Davenport, 91, at 1 p.m. March 18, 2017, at St. James Episcopal Church, 131 N. State St., Painesville. (Family and friends are asked to please meet at church.)
Mrs. Davenport passed away Monday, Feb. 27, 2017, in the E.R. at Geauga Hospital in Chardon.
Born April 8, 1925, in Painesville, she had been a lifetime resident of Lake County.
Janet was a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Painesville and the Daughters of the King of the church. She was a former member of the Painesville YMCA, and had worked there part-time.
She was the loving mother of Deborah S. (Gerald) Hohla, Polly A. (Joe) Seum, Heath H. Davenport and James M. (Mary) Davenport; cherished grandmother of 11; great-grandmother of eight; sister-in-law of Doris Heckman and Estrea Ohl; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Janet was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward M. Davenport; parents, Harold and Pauline (nee Effland) Heckman; siblings, Harold (Florence) Heckman and Fred Heckman; and granddaughter, Heather Davenport.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name are suggested to St. James Episcopal Church, 131 N. State St., Painesville, OH 44077.
