Obituary for James Robert Hallo Sr.
Memorial services for James Robert Hallo Sr., 87, of Willoughby, will be 12 noon Saturday, May 20, 2017, at Country Baptist Church, 9054 Lakeshore Blvd., Mentor.
Mr. Hallo passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017, at Lake Health West Medical Center in Willoughby.
Born Jan. 20, 1930, in Uniontown, Pa., he had lived in Cleveland Heights before moving to Lake County 14 years ago.
He was a member of Country Baptist Church in Mentor, was an avid sports fan and loved golfing.
James was the loving father of James R. (Lee) Hallo Jr., David M. Hallo, Timothy J. (Peggy) Hallo and Diane Lynn (Robert) Beck; cherished grandfather of Marissa, Timothy James, Megan, Timothy Martin, Tyler and Kyle; great-grandfather of Kwayedza, Waniso, and Ryan; brother of Janet (John) Ross; and uncle of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John R. and Catherine (nee Kovach) Hallo; and siblings, Ethel, Irene, Jaye, Steve, Kay, Marge, Frank, Sonny and Elsie.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Country Baptist Church of Mentor, 9054 Lakeshore Blvd., Mentor, OH 44060.
Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.
