Celebration of Life services for Ronald M. Shoemaker, 79, of Noblesville, Ind., will be 4 p.m. Saturday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor.
Mr. Shoemaker passed away Monday, May 8, 2017, in Noblesville, Ind.
Born June 28, 1937, in Detroit, Mich., he had lived in Chardon before moving to Indiana three years ago.
He was a member of the U.S. Army National Guard of Ohio. Ron loved and enjoyed woodworking, fishing and cooking. He was truly a “Jack of all trades.”
Ron was the loving father of Deneen A. (Bart) Ringler-Cunningham and Robin A. Shoemaker; cherished grandfather of James (Megan) Ringler, Stephanie Ringler and Ronnie Ringler; great-grandfather of Tyler, Ian, Bryson and Noah; brother of Robert J. (Cathy) Shoemaker, Karol A. (Ron) Soeder and Karen M. Lange; and uncle of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dolores L. Shoemaker; and parents, Merrill L. and Josephine R. (nee Starke) Shoemaker.
Family will receive friends from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
