A celebration of life for Carl B. Markel, 50, of Mentor, will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 5, 2017, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor. A service will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. Troy Elam will officiate.
Mr. Markel was born Sept. 9, 1966, and passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017.
Carl had many great friends that he loved spending time with. He worked in construction and roofing. He also enjoyed camping and fishing.
Survivors are his parents, Carl and Elsie Markel; sisters, Karen and Elaine; brother, Paul; nieces, Amber (Bill), Holly (Randy) and Sarah (James); nephews, Brandon (Alyson), Matthew and Josh; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
A gathering of friends and family will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 10, at The Lakeshore Lounge, 8770 Lakeshore Blvd., Willoughby.
