Obituary for Lisa Michelle Coyne

Lisa Michelle Coyne
Mass of Celebration for Lisa Michelle Coyne will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Church, 8560 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Born Oct. 18, 1966, fifth child of eight, to David and Erna Coyne in Euclid, she passed away June 3, 2017.
She excelled in sports, lettering in swim team at Euclid High School and continuing to Kent State University on a swimming scholarship, where she graduated, and was on the dean’s list, with a degree in Aerospace Flight Technology.
She was a flight instructor at Burke Lakefront Airport, and then a pilot for Continental before joining the Army, serving two tours in Afghanistan. She loved her nieces and nephews dearly and was always joking and having fun with them, even running a road race at Christmas time with some.
Upon returning to the states, Lisa experienced what many vets do, having PTSD and emotional problems coping. She would give you the shirt off her back to help you, and was always willing to do anything for you.
She leaves behind her beloved dogs, Lucy and Spots; parents, David and Erna, with whom she lived; brothers, Dave (Sherie), Tom (Linda) and Jack (Laurie); and sisters, Lorna (Pat) and Colleen (Ken). She also leaves behind nephews and nieces too numerous to mention.
She has two sisters that are waiting for her in Heaven, Monique and Megan.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor. Burial will be private.
