Obituary for Albert C Then Jr.
Albert C. Then Jr., 90, of Willowick, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2017, at Hospice House of the Western Reserve.
Born April 11, 1927, in Cleveland, he had been a resident of Lake County for 61 years, living in Willowick.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, and loved his family, being outdoors and traveling.
Mr. Then was a 20-year employee of the Ohio Lottery, and was the owner of ACT Lettering, an athletic lettering company for 60 years.
Albert was the loving husband of 65 years to Mary Louise (nee Holzmer); loving father of Tim (Cindy), Terry (Julie), Tom (Chris), and Laura (Rodney) Daugherty; cherished grandfather of Jason (Jessie) Then, Tony Then, Tara (Tim) Trepal, Tracy (Nick) Hanshaw and Zachary Daugherty; great-grandfather of Aris; and uncle of many.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert C. Sr. and Mae (nee Heaphey); and siblings, John (Ellie) Then and Dorothy (Ed) Breeze.
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary Magdalene Church, 32114 Vine St., Willowick. Fr. Tom Johns will officiate.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will be in Whitehaven Memorial Park in Mayfield Village.
