Obituary for Joan J King

Joan J. King, 88, of Mentor, passed away peacefully June 16, 2017, in the home she had loved for 42 years.
She was a lover of all with wings, fur and paws. Joan deeply devoted her whole life to animal causes, which she generously supported.
Survivors are her two children, Christopher Lyons (Irene Skala) of Painesville and Cindy (Christos) Glantzis of Mentor; grandchildren, Christopher (Allison) Glantzis of Lyndhurst, Alex Glantzis of Utah and Megan Wilhoit of South Carolina; and six great-grandchildren.
Joan was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 35 years, Kenneth J. King; and granddaughter, Jeanette Lyons.
There will be a celebration of her life with family and friends held at a later date.
The family suggests contributions in her name be made to any animal welfare organizations.
Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.
