Anthony "Nino"  Bonanno
ANTHONY “NINO” BONANNO, 68, of Willoughby, beloved husband of 43 years to Katherine S. “Kay” (nee Keogh) Bonanno; loving father of Erin M. Bonanno, Jessica A. Bonanno, Corinne B. Bonanno and Joseph A. Bonanno; cherished son of Joseph and the late Caterina (nee Saia) Bonanno; brother of Grace (Terry) Jones and Carmela (Donald) Dalton; and uncle of many nieces and nephews, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017, at Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland. A true artist, problem solver, and craftsman, Nino was a gifted landscape designer and creative in all aspects of his life. Born in Furnari, Sicily, he had been a resident of Willoughby for 37 years. He was a 1967 graduate of Euclid High School, a 1972 graduate of The Cleveland Institute of Art, and a 30-year employee of The Cleveland Plain Dealer in the advertising art department. With strong Christian faith, he found a home at Parkside Church in Bainbridge. Family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at McMAHON-COYNE-VITANTONIO FUNERAL HOME, 6330 CENTER ST. (RT. 615, N. of RT. 2), MENTOR, where a funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, followed by burial in Willoughby Memorial Gardens.
