Obituary for James T "Jimmy" Cost
Early on the morning of Aug. 20, 2017, Heaven gained another angel. James T. "Jimmy" Cost died peacefully at Madison Health Care in Madison.
He was born Aug. 31, 1968.
Jimmy was the kindest most caring person you could have ever hoped to meet. He had such an infectious smile that would light up a room when he walked in. He was always generous in his willingness to help others. He handled everything in life with courage. To know him was to love him. Jimmy was a 1987 graduate of Mentor High School. He had a passion for horticulture and worked in landscaping throughout his life. He was also an avid Cleveland sports fan.
Jimmy leaves behind his loving parents, Patrick and Elizabeth Cost; loving siblings, Mike (Jackie) Cost, Tim (Erin) Cost, David (Carolyn) Cost, Theresa (Mike) Fornick and Cyndi (Gregg) Rechner; beloved nephews and niece, Brian and Melissa Cost, Kevin and Sam Cost, Andrew, Michael and Scott Fornick and Alex and Josh Rechner. He also leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his adopted sister, Tess; grandparents, Louis and Elizabeth Zontini, and Joseph and Elizabeth Cost.
A funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 25, 2017, at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor, OH 44060. Burial will immediately follow at Mentor Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, 2017, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society Foodbank, c/o St. John Vianney Church.
