Obituary for Richard E Pohl

Funeral services for Richard E. Pohl, 71, of Mentor, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby. Pastor Rod Funk will officiate.
Mr. Pohl passed away Friday, Sept. 14, 2017, at his residence in Mentor.
Born July 16, 1946, in Cleveland, he had been a lifetime resident of Lake County.
Mr. Pohl was a member of Advent Lutheran Church in Mentor and the National Rifle Association (NRA). He was also a former member of the Ashtabula Rod and Gun Club and loved the outdoors. He also enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, and motorcycles, and had a passion for working on cars. Mr. Pohl was truly a “jack of all trades.”
Richard was the loving father of Christine L. Germano; stepfather of Ralph Sajewski; cherished grandfather of Chasidy (Dustin) Drain, Ashleylynn Hutchins, Christopher Hutchins II, Angelica Blomquist, Bethany Blomquist (Shaun Moder), Felicia Germano, Faithanne Germano, Robert Germano II, Kaylee Sajewski and Jordan Sajewski; great-grandfather of Joshua, Brayden, Christopher, Viviana, Miguel, Lisette, JoJo, Christian, Jonathan, Hailee, Kade and Penelope; brother of Donna Reed; and aunt of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia A. (nee Rose) Pohl in 2011; daughter, Bernadette S. Hutchins; and parents, Edward and Betty (nee Diehl) Pohl.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at The Abbey of Willoughby. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Madison.
