Patricia "Pat"  Counselman
Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Patricia “Pat” (nee Novak) Counselman, 66, of Mentor, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor. Followed by burial at Mentor Cemetery and a luncheon at the church's social center.
Mrs. Counselman passed away peacefully in her sleep Sept. 28, 2017, surrounded by her family.
Born Aug. 26, 1951, she lived a wonderful, joyful and rewarding life, and was a caring friend and role model to many.
She had fought a courageous battle with ovarian cancer since 2010. Pat was a Teacher, a Counselor, a Friend, a Confidant, an Aunt, a Sister, a Cousin, a Daughter, a Wife, a Mother, a Grandmother, a Disciple of Christ and a Child of God.
Survivors are her beloved husband of 45 years, Mark; loving children, Christopher Counselman, Michael (Megan) Counselman, and Michelle (Nick) Hagan and their two daughters (her wonderful grandchildren); and her mother, four brothers, two sisters and many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor.
