Mass of Christian Burial for Joan C. (nee Burauskas) Sawicki, 70, will be 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 13, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 29850 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe.
Joan passed away Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017, at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights.
She was born Feb. 28, 1947, in Cleveland, and was a Lake County resident for 50 years, residing in Wickliffe.
Joan was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Wickliffe and Wickliffe Senior Center. She also enjoyed gardening.
Joan was the beloved wife of 50 years to John H.; loving mother of John J.; cherished grandmother of Liam J.; dear sister of Jo Fran (Richard) Piorkowski; and the dear aunt of many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph F. and Frances Marie (nee Pevar) Burauskas; and her son, James J.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12th, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
