Obituary for Else L. Washkewicz
Memorial services for Else L. (nee Zion) Washkewicz, 99, of Lakeline, will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Washkewicz passed away Sunday, Nov. 19, 2017, at Brookdale of Wickliffe.
Born Oct. 18, 1918, in Cleveland, she had lived in Cleveland Heights before moving to Lake County 34 years ago.
Else was a member of Church of the Cross Methodist Church and the “Crossovers” group of the church. She was a resident of Brookdale of Wickliffe, where she had received wonderful care.
She was the loving mother of Linda L. Washkewicz of Doral, Fla.; and sister of Richard Zion of Michigan City, Ind. She also leaves many wonderful cousins, nieces and nephews.
Else was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thaddeus S. “Ted” Washkewicz; dear children, Thaddeus B. “Tad” Washkewicz and Candice L. Washkewicz; and sisters, Mae Hoenes and Ruth Campbell.
Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name may be made to the Lake Humane Society, 7564 Tyler Blvd., Mentor, OH 44060.
