Funeral services for Carolyn E. Laird, 53, of Mentor, will be 9 a.m. Monday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor.
Carolyn passed away Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
She was born March 27, 1964, in Cleveland.
Carolyn attended Eastlake North High School and the Willoughby Tech Center. She loved going to casinos, camping and cruising. If you knew Carolyn, you knew that she always put her family and friends above anything else, including herself. Carolyn was the most selfless person you would ever meet and if you knew her, you were a better person for it. She will leave a hole in her family that will never be filled. “We will miss her feisty attitude and her generous heart.”
Carolyn was the loving mother of Christopher (Mary) Laird; beloved daughter of Audrey Elizabeth Laird; dear sister of Christine (Richard) Norris, Catherine Rydzinski, Cheryl (Edward) Leonardi, and Sheila (Tony) Chiofolo; loving companion of Danny Clark; niece of Sherry Strugar; aunt of Valerie (Chris) Sanders, Angela (Frank) Taylor, Justin (Mackenzie) Laird, Richard (Tara) Norris, Mary (Anthony) Norris, David (Nikki) Brooks, Sheri Rydzinski and Karin Chiofolo; and many great-nieces and great-nephews that Carolyn adored and loved.
She was preceded in death by her father, Howard Stephen Laird; siblings, Stephen Laird and Anita Laird; and niece, Jessica Brooks.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Willoughby Memorial Gardens.
