Ernest A  Cavasinni
Ernest A. Cavasinni, 78, of Mentor, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017, at his residence.
Born Jan. 25, 1939, in Cleveland, he had lived in Chester Township before moving to Lake County 27 years ago.
Ernest was a U.S. Army veteran and member of St. John Vianney Church in Mentor. He enjoyed running four to six miles a day, seven days a week.
Mr. Cavasinni worked as a supervisor at AT&T.
He was the beloved husband of 24 years to Edith J. (nee Hart) Cavasinni; loving father of Phil Cavasinni, Joseph (Kat) Cavasinni, John (Patty) Cavasinni, Ernest Cavasinni Jr., Thomas (Heba) Cavasinni and Nicholas (Lisa) Cavasinni; stepfather of Brian (Amy) Vargo, Shannon Policy and Jason (Valerie) Vargo; cherished grandfather of Anthony, Crissy, Allie, Jennifer, Patrick, Yousef “Joseph,” Katie, Kylie, Carla, Anna, Michael, Miranda, Olivia, Zander, Harper, Frankie, and two more on-the-way; brother of Mary (Tom) Zrack; and uncle of nieces and nephews.
Ernest was preceded in death by his parents, Mario and Rose (nee Immarino) Cavasinni; and grandson, Eugene C. Policy III.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor. A funeral service will be conducted 12 noon Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
