Obituary for Alice M. Ackerman
Funeral Mass for Alice M. Ackerman (nee Kushan), 90, of Willowick, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Magdalene Church, 32114 Vine St. Willowick.
Mrs. Ackerman passed away Friday, Dec. 1, 2017 at Euclid Hospital.
Born Dec. 25, 1926 in Cleveland, she had been a Lake County resident for 62 years, living in Willowick.
She was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Church and a graduate of Villa Angela Academy. She loved being with her family, her greatest gifts were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Alice was the loving mother of Gary A. (Shelly) Ackerman, Pam A. Ackerman and Christine M. (Bill) Long; mother-in-law of Linda M. Ackerman and Michelle L. “Micki” Ackerman”; cherished grandmother of Jesse (Christine), Kristin, Patrick, Michael (Amanda), Kourtney (Joe), Jeffrey (Missy) and Danny; great grandmother of Colin, Joey, Khloe, Luke, Bradley and Gracie; also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by beloved husband, Richard E. Ackerman; sons, Dennis R. Ackerman, Thomas J. Ackerman, Gregory D. Ackerman; granddaughter, Jaimie C. Ackerman; parents, John and Josephine (nee Jerse) Kushan; sister, Goldie J. Kushan; brother, John W. Kushan; sister-in-law, Patricia Kushan; and brother-in-law, Robert Ackerman.
Family will receive friends 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
