Obituary for Joanne Evans
Celebration of Life services for Joanne Evans, 72, of Mentor, will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor.
Mrs. Evans passed away Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, at her residence.
Born May 9, 1945, in Cleveland, she had been a resident of Lake County for 53 years.
Joanne loved her family and enjoyed being with her grandchildren.
She was the beloved wife of 53 years to Wayne J. Evans; loving mother of Christine A. (Blake) Leduc and Caryn A. (Pep) Bertolami; cherished grandmother of Alexis, Haley, Cassidy, Dominic, Antonio and Sophia; sister of Kathy Samac and Joe (Denna) Skoda; sister-in-law of Mary Minerich; niece of Helen Minerich; and aunt of nieces and nephews.
Joanne was preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy A. Evans; parents, Joseph and Anna (nee Basick) Skoda; siblings, Tom and Buddy Minerich; brother-in-law, John Samac; and sister-in-law, Irene Minerich.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
