Obituary for Thomas "Tom" Osters

Thomas "Tom" Osters
On Jan. 6, 2018, Tom Osters changed addresses, using his wings to take the helm at Heaven’s version of his earthly “Lion’s Pride” Egg Harbor. By his side on the bridge, one arm around his neck and the other on his arm, is his first mate, Lil. They met 71 years ago, fell in love and were married June 6, 1953, and are now able to celebrate every sunrise and sunset together forever. Their great love was an example for the whole world to see. May the seas be always calm, may the wind be always at your back and may the sun always shine warm upon your face.
He was born Aug. 3, 1930, in Cleveland.
The family wishes to send a “special shout out” to the family of angels at Ames Family Hospice.
Tom was the loving Dad to Scott (Sulinda) Osters and Sandy (Art) Johanson; cherished grandpa to Andi Osters (Halie), Christopher (Christora) Osters and Clay and Kara Johanson; brother to Dan Osters; and the relative and friend of many.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lillian (nee Fabjancic) Osters; sister, Ruth (Elmer, dec.) Tischler; and sister-in-law, Judy Osters.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Ames Family Hospice House, 30080 Hospice Way Westlake OH 44145, (440) 414-7349.
Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.
