Obituary for Charles Edward Wheat

Charles Edward Wheat, 73, of Willoughby, passed away Jan. 16, 2018, at Hospice of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.
Born Feb. 4, 1944, in New Iberia, La., he had been a longtime resident of the San Francisco Bay Area before moving to Willoughby 12 years ago.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and an avid fisherman.
Most recently, Mr. Wheat had worked as a driver for Laketran.
Charles was the longtime companion of Pat Cetina; father of Tiffany and Todd Wheat; brother of Harry, Henry, and Walter Wheat; grandfather of Malanna and Marlo; and uncle and cousin of many.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert and Vesper (nee Kelly) Wheat; and sisters, Emma Lee Person and Rose Ellen Waltman.
Family will receive friends from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018, at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby. Burial will be held in California.
