Charles H  Horn
Charles H. Horn, 75, of Mentor, passed away Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, at Hospice of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.
Born March 30, 1942, in Charleroi, Pa., he had been a resident of Lake County for the past 53 years.
Charles was a former member of Shoregate United Methodist Church, enjoyed traveling with family, skiing, and reading and loved watching and being with his grandchildren.
Mr. Horn was a teacher at Mentor Memorial Junior High for 33 years, having taught German and was the director of their Ski Club. After retiring from teaching, he worked for Continental Airlines as a ticket agent for 10 years.
Charles was the beloved husband of 50 years to Susan K. (nee Slack) Horn; loving father of Bryan A. (Karrie) Horn; cherished grandfather of Brandon, Brolin and Katie; brother-in-law of Ruth Ann Steury; nephew of Edward Horn; and uncle of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred P. and Elizabeth G. (nee Cox) Horn; and brother, Alfred Horn.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor, with a celebration of life service at 7:30 p.m. Pastor Gerald Kalb will officiate.
