Funeral Mass for Therese R. Schillaci (nee Toth), 72, of Painesville, will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Rd., Mentor. FAMILY AND FRIENDS PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Father Tom Johns will officiate at the Mass.
Therese passed away Friday, Feb. 23, 2018 at Lake Health TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Twp.
Born May 5, 1945 in Cleveland, she had been a lifetime resident of Lake County, living in Mentor and Painesville.
Therese was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Painesville. She enjoyed arts and crafts and helped as a Honorary Air Force Recruiter.
She was a teacher at St. Mary’s for 13 years, where she taught art. She was also a counselor with the City of Painesville Recreation Department.
Therese was the beloved wife of 41 years to John A. Schillaci; loving mother of Peter D. (Crystal) Schillaci and Charles C. (Leah) Schillaci; cherished grandmother of Dominic, Connor, Elina, Gabie and Caleb; sister of Mary Brown and Valerie Toth; and aunt of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Christopher; parents, Joseph and Mary (nee Pankovich) Toth; and brother, Joseph Toth.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2) Mentor. Burial will be at Mentor Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
