Funeral services for John V. Kosek Jr., 57, of Eastlake, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor. Fr. Steve Breck of St. Mary Magdalene Church will officiate.
Mr. Kosek passed away March 10, 2018, at Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.
He was born May 31, 1960, in Stoneham, Mass.
John was a U.S. Navy veteran, member of Communication Workers of America Local 4340, and he marshalled the Cleveland St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
Mr. Kosek retired from AT&T.
John was the beloved son of John Vincent and Dorothy Jane (nee Leahy) Kosek; dear father of Jennifer Kosek of Willoughby and John V. Kosek of Eastlake; loving companion of Mary Beth Foss; cherished grandfather of Dante “Big D,” Kyleigh “Smiley,” and Kierstyn “KK”; brother of Robert, Karen, Kathy, Chris and Brandon; and uncle of many.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Willoughby Memorial Gardens.
