Obituary for Anthony N "Tony" Sbrocco

Funeral Mass for Anthony N. “Tony” Sbrocco, 94, of Willowick, will be 12 noon Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Fr. Timothy Kalista will officiate the Mass.
Mr. Sbrocco passed away Saturday, June 2, 2018, at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights.
Born Aug. 26, 1923, in Cleveland, he had been a resident of Lake County for 18 years.
Tony was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theater. He was also a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Willoughby, where he was an Oktoberfest helper, and a member of the Collinwood Memories. Tony loved making model airplanes, sports, especially golf and bowling, and enjoyed dancing.
Tony was the loving husband of 18 years to Julia C. (nee Iannicelli) Sbrocco; and dear uncle of Mary Lou (David) Kehres, Rocco (Gigi) DiPuccio and Carmella “Mel” (Walter) Schaefer. He is also survived by his adopted son, Anthony Sbrocco; and Julia’s grandchildren, John Brown, Dr. Julie Brown, and Annie Stewart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Michaelangelo and Louise (nee Lariccia) Sbrocco; first wife, Angela Sbrocco; sister, Pauline DiPuccio; brother, Urban “Ruby” Sbrocco; and sister-in-law, Philomena Sbrocco.
Family will receive from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.
