Obituary for Nellie Davetta Neace

Nellie Davetta Neace
"Together Again"

Nellie Davetta (neé Paris) Neace, 86, of Lake County, passed away July 17, 2018, at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Township, surrounded by her loving family.
Born Nov. 10, 1931, in Laurel Fork, W.Va., she had lived in Cleveland for seven years before moving to Lake County 48 years ago.
Nellie was a member of Bible Community Church in Mentor, Emmaus Bible Fellowship and Erieside Church. She loved her church family dearly, especially Lenora and Pastor Denny. Nellie was known to all as Mom, Mommy, Gramma, Mommo, Miss Nellie, Aunt Nellie, Granny Nellie and Sissy. She loved her family and her flowers and had beautiful roses and vegetable gardens throughout her yard. Her flowers made her happy and she would look forward to sitting on her swing just looking at them and watching them grow. Nellie was a loving mother and grandmother, who was a true example of Christ. Her love for Christ and her Christian faith was seen in every day of her life. Her love, support, encouragement, forgiveness and her Bible verses, were shared with all. She gave her family a strong foundation, rooted in the love of Christ. Her family rejoices that she is now with her heavenly Father, who welcomed her home July 17, 2018. She will be greatly missed, but her legacy of unconditional love and kindness will live on through her family and everyone her heart has touched.
Mrs. Neace had worked as an inspector for Parker-Hannifin, retiring in 2006 at the age of 75. She had also worked at Murray Corporation in Eastlake and Bowman Products in Cleveland.
She was the loving mother of Bonnie (Robert) Jejcic of Willowick and Barbara (Neace) Bartel of Eastlake; cherished grandmother of Kim Robinson, Rebecca (Tom) Swaidner, Amy (Alvin) Cofield, Chuck Bartel Jr., Michael Bartel, Theresa (Sean) Mathes, Brian Jejcic and Jim Jejcic; great-grandmother of Aaron White Jr., Jacob White, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Sammy Rodriguez Jr., Alex Cofield, Silas Bartel, Kaylee Swaidner, Baby Gavin Swaidner, Tyler Tulino, Cameron Jejcic and Mike Leyritana; sister-in-law of Betty Paris, Lilburn (Jessie) Neace, Dave (Marilyn) Neace and Ernest (Cecilia) Neace; special aunt of Joyce (Larry) Stratton, Judy (Dave) Lucas, Elaine (Randal) Kirk, Eddie (Geneva) Paris, Lisa Sarrett, Maggie Handy, Kesleen Adkins and Hazel Adkins; special great-aunt of Jody Ferrell, who gave Nellie a beautiful gift of her ancestry. Jody found out her father’s birth name, Gaetano Parisi and birth place of Fiumedinisi, Sicily; and thank you to her neighbors, who became dear friends, Kenny, Mary, Dan and Barb.
Nellie was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Marion Neace; parents, Toney and Emma (neé Frye) Paris; and siblings, Anderson Paris, Lula Adkins, Willie Payne, Thomas “Jeff” Paris, Albert (Doc) Paris, Wetzel Paris, Mary Etta “Nettie” Farmer and Charlie Paris.
Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Tuesday, July 24, at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby, with a celebration of life to be held at 12 noon. Pastor Denny Hoynes of Bible Community Church will officiate. Burial will follow at Willoughby Memorial Gardens.
