Obituary for Anna L Brown
Private family services were held for Anna L. (nee Cook) Brown “Lou Brown,” 96, the former “First Lady of Eastlake.”
Mrs. Brown passed away Monday, July 30, 2018, at Heartland of Willoughby.
Born Feb. 7, 1922, in Broken Arrow, Okla., she had been a resident of Lake County for the past 65 years.
Anna’s husband, Robert, was the former Mayor of Eastlake, and “Lou Brown” was with him every step of the way. She loved gardening, walking on the beach, crossword puzzles and playing cards.
She was the loving mother of Susan L. (Dan) Jantonio, Kayleen M. (Carson) Jackson and Kathleen (James) Kent; cherished grandmother of Scott, Seann, Jarrod, Kristine, Pam, Kelly and Stacey; and great-grandmother of Mason, Brendan, Alex, Jake, Shelby, Jackson, Savannah, Bailey, McKenna, Kaden, Bethany, Ian, Jamie and Sydney. She also leaves her special friends, “Louie” and “Hermione.”
Anna was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert P. Brown; parents, John and Ella (nee Hudson) Cook; and 11 siblings.
Contributions in her name are suggested to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110.
Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.
