Obituary for Robert Carl Allan
Robert Carl Allan, age 46, died August, 26, 2018, in Mentor.
Robert Allan was born April 11, 1972, in Willoughby. He was raised in Willoughby Hills and in Mentor. On July 4, 1997, he married Lezlie Hohl. Their daughter, Gracyn Lyric Allan, has been the light of his life.
Robert made many friends and kept them for his lifetime. At Mentor High School, he ran track and cross country, wrestled, and was a featured solo trumpeter in the marching band. Always full of enthusiasm, he enjoyed football, and, in fact, all sports. While he was at The Ohio State University earning his degree in Business Management, he was an avid Buckeye fan. He enjoyed boating, outdoor activities, and travel adventures. He was a member of Life Point Church, where he devoted himself to service and helping others.
He is survived by his mother, Barbara Allan; cherished daughter, Gracyn Lyric Allan; and stepbrother, Brian Allan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alec Allan; wife, Lezlie (nee Hohl) Allan; and his stepbrother, Andrew Allan.
Family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Rt. 615, north of Rt. 2), Mentor, with a celebration of Robert’s life to be held at 3 p.m.
