Funeral Mass for Anthony Louis Dacar, 44, of Perry, will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 9114 Lakeshore Blvd., Mentor. Fr. Tim Plavac will officiate the Mass.
Mr. Dacar passed away Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018, at his home.
Born May 2, 1974, in Euclid, he had grown up in Mentor, before retiring to Myrtle Beach, S.C. Tony and his family had recently returned to the area, living in Perry.
Tony was a member of St. Bede the Venerable Church in Mentor, 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus Council 8980, and St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Garden City, S.C.
Mr. Dacar had worked at TRW, and retired as a production manager at General Motors.
Tony was the beloved husband of Meghan (nee Cook) Dacar of Perry; beloved father of Emily (Quentin) Hollar of Las Vegas, Nev., Mary Fultz of Mentor, Mark Dacar of Mentor, Robert Fultz of Perry, Jared Dacar of Mentor, Isabella Vaccaro of Perry, Maggie Dacar of Perry and Christie Thompson of Perry; dear son of Richard and Margaret (nee Bizzarri) Dacar of Concord Township; son-in-law of Robert and Jeanine (Sanda) Cook of Murrells Inlet, S.C.; brother of Christie (Mike) Partlow of Mentor; brother-in-law of Mark Cook of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and uncle of Chloe Partlow of Mentor and Charlie Partlow of Mentor. He also leaves his beloved canine companions, Molly and Katie.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), in Mentor. Because of Tony's love of riding his Harley and rooting for Cleveland sports teams, he would have loved for you to dress in either of those types of clothing for the visitation.
