Obituary for Mary Louise Comella

Mary Louise Comella born Jan. 6, 1918 in Cleveland, passed away at her Beachwood home on June 17, 2015. She is now reunited in heaven with her parents, Charles C. Comella and Rose (Pistorio) Comella along with siblings, Anthony, Dominick, Joseph, Charles and Michael. Mary Louise earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Mercyhurst College in 1940 followed by her Masters degree from Western Reserve University in 1945. She was a passionate educator retiring from Beachwood public schools after 37 ½ years of devoted service. Mary was a longtime member of Gesu Catholic Church (University Heights).
Mary was involved in many activities and social groups. Since 1945, Mary was one of the founding
members and active historians of IL CENA COLO ITALIANO DI CLEVELAND. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews along with former students and many friends. Family will receive friends at the
Fioritto Funeral Home, 5236 Mayfield Rd, Lyndhurst, 9 to 11:30 AM Friday. Mass of Christian Burial
will follow at Gesu Parish, 2470 Miramar, University Hts., 12 noon Friday. Burial will be in Knollwood
