Obituary for Kestutis P "Pete" Vaiginis

Funeral Mass for Kestutis P. “Pete” Vaiginis, 61, of Chardon Township, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Church, 401 North St., Chardon.
Mr. Vaiginis passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2016.
Born Nov. 28, 1954, in Cleveland, he had been a resident of Geauga County for the past 31 years.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Chardon. His passion was helping people in their time of need at his family business, Semerano Monuments. Pete also loved animals.
He was the loving husband of 30 years to Palmina Semerano; beloved brother of Laima (William) Jurevicius, Leonard Vaiginis, Marguerite (Tim) Wilmot and Genute (John) Kelley; nephew of Herta Mardosas; uncle of Joe (Meagan) Jurevicius, Jennifer (Craig) Koeth, and Conor and Rory Kelley; great-uncle of Kailey, Michael, Caroline, Ava, Savanah and Kyle; stepfather of Alex (Cathleen) Semerano, Daniella (Joseph) Peters and Loris (John) Menfi; and grandfather of Anthony, Alexander and Olivia Semerano, Alexa and Maria Peters, Dominic Marvin, Sofia and Emma Menfi.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Petras and Margarete (nee Westphal) Vaiginis; sister, Irene Berzinskas; brother-in-law, Tony Berzinskas; and nephew, Tony Berzinskas.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made in his name to the Geauga Animal Shelter, 15463 Chillicothe Road, Novelty, OH 44072.
