Obituary for Howard S Valjean
Private services will be held for Howard S. Valjean, 86, of Mentor.
Mr. Valjean passed away Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017, at Lake Health West Medical Center in Willoughby.
Born July 14, 1931, in Cleveland, he had been a resident of Lake County for 57 years, living in Willoughby before moving to Mentor.
Mr. Valjean was a U.S. Army veteran.
Howard was the beloved husband of 65 years to Marjorie A. (nee Cerullo) Valjean; loving father of Dolores McFarlane, Vincent Valjean, Florentino Valjean, Michelle Valjean (Douglas Ebbert), and Yvonne (Daniel) Garin; cherished grandfather of Matthew, Michael, Imari, Daniel, Sean and Nathan; great-grandfather of Kalen; and beloved brother of eight.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Andrea M. Valjean.
Burial will be held in Mentor Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.
