Funeral Mass for Ann M. Thompkins (nee Gillard), 86, of Painesville, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 8560 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Ann passed away Tuesday, Apr. 10, 2018 at LakeMed Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Painesville.
Born Sept. 10, 1931 in Philadelphia, Pa., she had been a Lake County resident for 51 years living in Mentor and Painesville.
She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Mentor.
Ann was a retired social worker, who had been inducted into the Lake County Council on Aging Hall of Fame. She was an avid worker.
Ann was the loving mother of Edward J. Thompkins Jr.; cherished grandmother of 14 year old, Nathan Patrick Thompkins and 10 year old, Chase Jonathan Thompkins; sister of Joseph Gillard; and aunt of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary (nee Fudi) Gillard; sister, Mary Richter; and brother, James Gillard.
Family will receive friends 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will be private.
