Funeral Mass for Joanne C. Citraro, 78, of Lakewood, formerly of Mentor, will be 11 a.m. Monday, May 21, at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor.
Mrs. Citraro passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at The Welsh Home in Rocky River.
Born July 6, 1939, in Cleveland, she had been a resident of Mentor for 46 years.
She was a member of the Italians of American Heritage Club, was a devout Catholic, and loved her Cleveland Indians, making cookies, working in her yard and old fashioned cars. Joanne also enjoyed the simple things in life, garage sales, walking, exercising, casinos and cooking for her husband.
She was the loving mother of Mary Ann Citraro (Brian Wollenzier) of Lakewood, Salvatore (Susan) Citraro of Mentor and Anthony (Susan) Citraro of Berkley, Mich.; cherished grandmother of Olivia, Salvatore, Kathryn, Christina and Michael; great-grandmother of Benjamin and Hannah; sister of Mary Jane Corio and Delores Catalona; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Joanne was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sam M. Citraro; parents, Anthony and Mary (nee Mastropietro) Damato; and brothers-in-law, Russell Corio and Tony Catalona.
Family will receive friends from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
