Obituary for Adolf H Rein

Adolf H  Rein
Funeral Mass for Adolf H. Rein, 78, of Mentor, will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 28, 2018, at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 9114 Lakeshore Blvd., Mentor.
Mr. Rein passed away Sunday, June 17, 2018, at Louis Stokes Cleveland Veteran’s Hospital Hospice in Cleveland.
He was born June 16, 1940, in Yugoslavia, he had been a resident of Lake County for the past 47 years, living in Mentor.
Adolf was a U.S. Army veteran and member of the American Legion Post 336 in Painesville. He was also a member of St. Bede the Venerable Church in Mentor, and the German Club located at the Mentor Senior Citizen Center. Adolf loved soccer, had served as a soccer referee and enjoyed golf.
Mr. Rein was a retired employee of Morton Salt in Grand River, where he had worked for 33 years.
Adolf was the beloved husband of Roberta (nee Herbert) Rein; loving father of Thomas A. Rein, Christine R. (Barry) Pickens and Christopher J. Rein; cherished grandfather of Alexander and Ashley Rein, Angelica, Elijah, Gabriella and Noah Pickens; brother of Sieghart Rein; and uncle of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Theresa (nee Bleich) Rein; and brother, Andrew (Margaret) Rein.
Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. Thursday until the time of the Mass at the church. Burial will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville.
