Obituary for George E. "Heinie" Prosuch Sr.

Funeral Mass for George E. “Heinie” Prosuch Sr., 91, of Willoughby, will be 9:30 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.
Mr. Prosuch passed away Saturday, June 30, 2018, at Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.
Born April 24, 1927, in Filbert, Pa., he had been a resident of Lake County for 66 years, living in Willoughby since 1956.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Willoughby, where he was very active in the Holy Name Society, a bingo worker for many years, served on the Parish Council, and was a member of the Oktoberfest Committee. He had worked with the Cub Scouts, coached baseball and softball teams in Willoughby and loved to roller skate and travel.
Mr. Prosuch had worked for TRW, Eaton Axel and retired from the City of Willoughby in 1991.
George was the loving father of Gloria L. (Michael) Kluse, Ed (Paulette) Prosuch and Pamela (Jack) Vollmer; father-in-law of Michael Ritz; cherished grandfather of Nicole (Chris) Ludban, Mike (Meghan) Kluse, Mark (Alena) Vollmer, George (Melinda) Prosuch, Melissa (Matt) Adams, Blake (Brittney) Kluse, Charles (Denise) Prosuch, Jeffrey (Kara) Prosuch, Ashley Ritz, Anthony Ritz, Mary Prosuch and Adrianno Ritz; and great-grandfather of McKenzie, Brady, George, Jodi, Camryn, Julianna, Madelyne, Carli, Joseph, Braxton, Hailey, Calli, Elizabeth, Brynna, Madelynn, Lexi, Matthew, Caden, Sophia, Abigail, Cooper, Miles and Isabelle.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia Ann (nee Cassidy) Prosuch; daughter Michele Ritz; parents, Michael J. and Mary (nee Brezovchak) Prosuch; siblings, John Prosuch, Michael Prosuch, Joseph Prosuch, Ann (Edwin) McKeen and Mary (Ove) Granell; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Lenora (nee Crossland) Cassidy; brothers-in-laws, Robert Cassidy, John Cassidy, Francis Cassidy, Bernard Cassidy and James Cassidy; and sisters-in-law, Madeline McKay, Mary Ellen Cassidy, Agnes Duffy, Eleanor Kadlub, Dorothy Brown and Catherine Voithofer.
Family will receive friends from 1 to 3 and 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will be in Willoughby Cemetery.
