Obituary for Donald M Anderson

Funeral services for Donald M. Anderson, 89, of Willoughby, will be held at a later date.
Mr. Anderson passed away Sunday, July 22, 2018, at Fairmount Health Care Center in Willoughby.
Born Aug. 31, 1928, in Thayer, Ill., he had been a resident of Lake County for the past 62 years.
Don was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Infantry during World War II and Korea, was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Willoughby, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister, was also a member of the Willoughby Elks Club and A.A.O.P. Pilots Association, loved flying and photography, and enjoyed building and restoring old aircraft.
He was the loving father of Alan M. (Colleen) Anderson and Mark L. (Denise) Anderson; cherished grandfather of Michael Anderson, Jenna (Walter) Johnston, Erik Anderson and Leigh (Michael) Pinkelman; and great-grandfather of Tori.
Don was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gloria C. (nee Short) Anderson; and parents, Philip L. and Irene (nee Yacup) Anderson.
Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.
