Obituary for Alan Paul Hruska

Sgt. Alan Paul Hruska, 70, of Mentor, passed away July 27, 2018, and left this earth too early.
He was born Sept. 11, 1947, in Cleveland.
Alan was a U.S. Army veteran, and loved to play pool, enjoying it at least twice a week.
Alan was a cabinet maker by trade and touched the lives of many, leaving a concrete footprint of his masterpieces in their homes.
The words that best describe Alan are unselfish, caring, a mentor, generous to a fault, fun loving, happy, smiley, witty, giver of unconditional love, and charismatic.
Alan was the beloved husband of Nancy Citriglia-Hruska; loving father of eight who adored his smile, Matthew (Judy), Mark, John (Allison), Luke (Courtney), Audrey (John), Amy (Greg), Nancy (Eric), and Nick (Kendra); “Papa” of Anthony, Jaqueline, Jamie, Logan, Dominic, Dante, Emilio, Orion, Brady, Cooper, Dustyn, Giovanni, Giada, Rose, Mae and Enzo, who looked up to him.
There will be a small private family service, per Alan’s wishes. You may pay your respects to Alan at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville after August 20.
Donations may be made in care of the family at 7264 Andover Dr., Mentor, OH 44060, or to Louis Stokes VA Medical Center, 10701 East Blvd., Cleveland, OH 44106.
