Obituary for Mary Jane Patterson

Mary Jane (nee Maffett) Patterson, 82, of Mentor, passed away Sunday, Sept. 2, 2018, at her residence.
Born Jan. 22, 1936, in Greensboro, Pa., she has lived in Toronto, Ohio before moving to Lake County 59 years ago.
Mary Jane was a member and former President of the Mentor Cardinal Mother’s Club in the 1970s, an active volunteer and Camp Fire leader and also volunteered at TriPoint Medical Center and for the PTA.
Mrs. Patterson had worked as a bus driver for the Lake County MRDD for 32 years prior to her retirement.
She was the loving wife of Robert Patterson; beloved mother of Tracy Anna Patterson of Indianapolis, Ind.; mother-in-law of Jolene Patterson; cherished grandmother of Regina Patterson, Douglas Patterson, Ryan Patterson, Robert Passariello and Alexis Passariello; great-grandmother of Leland Kovach and Jordyn Patterson; and aunt of John Mateleska, Patti Lou Ludrosky, Kathy Olenik, Randy Maffett, Judy Hayes, Kristin Komar and Carrie Bunton.
Mary Jane was preceded in death by her son, Douglas Keith Patterson; parents, Charles A. and Anna M. (nee Davis) Maffett; siblings, Charles H. Maffett and Helen M. Mateleska; and nephew, Rod Maffett.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor, with a funeral service 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Byron Bufkin will officiate. Burial will be in Willoughby Memorial Gardens.
