Obituary for LeRoy L Hale Sr.
Funeral Mass for LeRoy L. Hale Sr., 83, of Willoughby, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Fr. Dennis McNeil will officiate the Mass.
Mr. Hale passed away Monday, Sept. 10, 2018, at his residence.
Born Dec. 29, 1934, in Cleveland, and had been a resident of Lake County for the past 56 years.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran and member of Immaculate Conception Church in Willoughby and the Knights of Columbus Third Degree Council 2886 and Fourth Degree Cardinal Newman General Assembly.
LeRoy loved sports, especially the Cleveland Browns and watching NASCAR. He also enjoyed reading, especially about history.
LeRoy was the loving father of William F. (Lori) Hale, Rosemary (Michael) Kerr, LeRoy L. (Shirley) Hale Jr., Lewis E. (Barb) Hale and George M. (Blaine) Hale; cherished grandfather of 21; great-grandfather of 42; and great-great-grandfather of three; and uncle of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wives, Lenora M. (nee Baltus) Schwab-Hale and Mary F. (nee Humbertson) Hale; daughter, Ann Marie Johnson; parents, Roy and Catherine (nee Klasgye) Hale; and siblings, Fred (Elizabeth) Hale, Lois Hale and Doris Love.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
Contributions in his name may be made to the Immaculate Conception Endowment Fund, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby, OH 44094.
