Obituary for Antal J. "Tony" Szabo II

A Celebration of Life Service for Antal J. “Tony” Szabo II, 64, of Hubbard will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018, at the McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor.
Tony passed away Friday, Sept. 21, 2018 at Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.
Born Feb. 13, 1954 in Cleveland, he was a former resident of Madison.
Tony was a great cook and was proud of his Hungarian cuisine and culture and was a member of ABATE CMRO. He had a love of Harley motorcycles and cars and helped to organize Louie Runs and Baby and Children Hospitals Runs. He loved children and enjoyed reading, politics and general research.
Tony was the loving father of Desiree P. Szabo, Sandy L. Hoyt, Christa R. (Matthew) Szabo-Lasker, Patricia J. (Joseph) Helmerich and Joseph D. Szabo; cherished grandfather of Brayden, Logan, Sage, Hayden and Aubrey; brother of Susan (Lawrence) Pelotte and Stephen (Tina) Szabo; brother-in-law of Tomme Szabo; and uncle of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Antal J. and Rosemarie (nee Rakoczy) Szabo; and brother, David Szabo.
Family will receive friends 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept 28, 2018 at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery, Chardon Township.
