Funeral Mass for Michael D. Gibaldi, 42, of Painesville, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Church, 242 N. State St., Painesville.
Mr. Gibaldi passed away Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2018, at his residence.
Born March 17, 1976, in East Cleveland, he had been a resident of Lake County for 25 years, living in Willoughby before moving to Painesville.
Michael was a 1994 graduate of Euclid High School. He was a kind, compassionate, gentle man, who loved history, camping with family and friends and was an avid sports fan, especially Ohio State football.
He was the beloved son of Anthony and Dorothy (nee Castrigano) Gibaldi; loving brother of Joseph A. Gibaldi and Anthony T. (Christine) Gibaldi; uncle of Angelina and Nora; and loving companion of Lisa A. Petersen. Michael also leaves his beloved dogs, Chico and Charlie; and many dear friends.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor.
