Graveside services with U.S. Marine Corps honors for John Franklin Hoylman, 66, of Painesville, will be 1 p.m. Monday at Perry Township Cemetery, 3840 Middle Ridge Road, Perry. (Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.)
Mr. Hoylman passed away Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018, at Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.
He was born Jan. 22, 1952, in Charleston, W.Va., and had been a lifetime resident of Lake County, living the majority of his life in Perry and Madison.
John was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, member of American Legion Post 112 in Madison, liked NASCAR, was an avid motorcyclist and loved traveling. He enjoyed model car building and building HO racing gear.
He was the beloved husband of 10 years to Debra L. (nee Plough) Hoylman; loving father of Deanna L. (Chris) Sanford, Michelle A. Hoylman (Jason Kirby), and Sheila R. (Jason) Bosworth; stepfather of Tina (Mike) Wyatt, Tim (Danielle) Duff and Tara Duff (Cooper Chaplain); cherished grandfather of Keirstin, Buddy, McKenzie, Nicholas, Joey, Zach and Blake; step-grandfather of Michael, Zack, Ethan and Kayleigh; brother-in-law of Sue Hoylman; and uncle of nieces and nephews. He also leaves his two dogs, Scruffy and Charlie.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Roy F. and Neda (nee Fetty) Hoylman; brother, Michael “Butch” Hoylman; and sister, Kathy Eden.
Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.
