Obituary for Carmen V Luciani

Carmen V. Luciani, 89, of Willoughby, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2018, at Brookdale of Wickliffe.
Born Feb. 19, 1929, in Wickliffe, he had been a lifetime Lake County resident, living in Wickliffe before moving to Willoughby 10 years ago.
He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and a 1952 graduate of Miami University. He loved golfing, woodworking, and gardening and was an avid cook.
Mr. Luciani retired from Lubrizol, where he had worked as a chief chemist for more than 30 years, and had authored more than 26 patents.
He was the loving father of Nancy (Dale) McCorkle, Tim Luciani, and Kathy (Ronald) Russo; cherished grandfather of Dana (Rod) Gordon, Brett McCorkle, Evan Russo, Alexander (Samantha) Russo, Nina Luciani, Carly Luciani and Jensen Luciani; brother-in-law of JoMarie Radcliffe; and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Carmen was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marian Rose (nee Manzo) Luciani; daughter-in-law, Brenda Luciani; parents, Adam and Filomena (nee Santella) Luciani; sisters, Maggie Wilber and Theresa Fatica; brother, James Barbiere; father-in-law, Joseph Manzo; mother-in-law, Mary (nee DiCicco) Manzo Kroboth; stepfather, Frank Kroboth; brothers-in-law, Jack Radcliffe, Joe Wilber and Charlie Fatica; sister-in-law, Anita Barbiere; and nephew, John Radcliffe.
Family will receive friends from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby, where a service will be conducted at 4:30 p.m. Sunday. Fr. Joseph O’Donnell will officiate. Burial will be private.
