Just two months shy of her 97th birthday, Irene E. Krizman, better known to all as "Nonny," rests with the Lord on this day, Monday November 26, 2018.
Mrs. Krizman had worked as the bookkeeper of the family business, Krizman Meats in Cleveland.
Nonny was an amazing artist and loved to paint. She could take a small photo and turn it into a large beautiful painting. She was always known for handing out candy to everyone. She had one in her mouth at all times and extras in her purse to share. She loved her sweets. Cookies, candy, cakes it didn't matter, she always had a plethora of sweets.
She had a kind heart and a warm smile. She always made you feel special. She loved being around people and hearing stories. She used to play cards with friends and family every weekend and looked forward to those days. Nonny also loved family parties and joining in on the family games. She loved God and her church. Till her last breathe, she could still recite the Lord's Prayer.
Nonny took pride in dressing and looking her best. She had the newest fashions and her hair was always perfect. She loved soap operas and doing puzzles.
Nonny had four children and close to 50 grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed and forever loved by those she leaves here on earth.
A funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby, where family will receive friends one hour prior to the Mass. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Cleveland.
Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.
