Life Story for Albina C Shane
Funeral Mass for Albina C. (nee Golembieski) Shane, 99, of Mentor, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Fr. Michael Troha will officiate the Mass.
Mrs. Shane passed away Monday, Dec. 10, 2018, at Altercare of Mentor.
She was born Sept. 10, 1919, in Cleveland.
Albina was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Willoughby. She loved polkas, gardening, the outdoors, classical music and the Classic Turner Movie Channel. She also enjoyed saying the Rosary, making Novena’s and spending time with her grandkids.
She was the loving mother of Kenneth M. (Laurie) Shane; cherished grandmother of John Krupa Jr., Karly Bailey, Troy (Kim) Shane, Connie (Josh) Law, Michael (April) Shane, Carli (Kevin) Kissling, Katlyn (Brian) Scheck; great-grandmother of Jake and Jenna Bailey, Summer Shane, Morgan, Trent, Drake, Layne, and Kyren Law, Kalina, Max, and Nolan Shane, Connor and Cole Kissling; mother-in-law of Randy Channell; sister-in-law of Hank Chrzanowski; and aunt of nieces and nephews.
Albina was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Stanley A. Shane in 2004; daughter, Christine A. Channell; parents, Felix and Amelia (nee Siszewski) Golembieski; and siblings, Clara Chrzanowski, Jesse (Fred, dec.) Hoffman and Stanley (Ronnie, dec.) Golembiski.
Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor. Burial will be in Mentor Cemetery.
