Funeral Mass for Dolores F. (nee Kempert) Occhionero, 90, will be 10 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Fr. Michael Troha will officiate the Mass.
Mrs. Occhionero passed away Jan. 3, 2019, at Palm Garden of Ocala Nursing Home.
She was born Nov. 28, 1928, in Cleveland, Dolores was a longtime resident of Richmond Heights and a brief resident of Willoughby, and spent the last 10 years in Ocala, Fla., being cared for by her daughter, Laura Shell.
Dolores had been employed for more than 32 years for Richmond Heights Schools, where she had worked in the cafeteria.
She was the loving mother of Eugene (Carolyn) Ward, David Ward, Timothy (Carlene) Ward and Laura Shell; dearest stepmother of Anthony (Elaine) Occhionero and Louis Occhionero; cherished grandmother and great-grandmother of many; and sister of Beverly Zitney.
Dolores was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Nicholas Occhionero Sr.; son, Clark Ward; stepson, Nicholas Occhionero Jr.; stepdaughter-in-law, Linda Occhionero; parents, Walter and Myrtle (nee Crawford) Kempert; and sister, Elaine Sawyer.
Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
