Obituary for Steve Bolas

Funeral Mass for Steve Bolas, 92, of Willoughby, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019, at Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. (Family and friends are asked to please meet at church.)
Mr. Bolas passed away Monday, Jan. 7, 2019, at Brookdale of Willoughby.
Born Dec. 10, 1926, in Tower Hill, Pa., he had been a resident of Lake County for the past 56 years, living in Willoughby.
Steve was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Willoughby, member of S.N.P.J., past President of the Wickliffe Senior Center, and former recording secretary for the I.A.M. Die Sinkers Union. He loved casinos and enjoyed gambling with his son-in-law.
Steve was the beloved husband of 66 years to Shirley A. (nee Catley) Bolas; loving father of Steve C. (Elizabeth) Bolas, Sharon M. (Kermit) Miller and Sandra A. Summerville; cherished grandfather of Christopher (Marlo) Miller, Jason Miller and Luke Summerville; great-grandfather of Ryleigh Miller; brother of Linda (Daniel) Glover; and uncle of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Julia (nee Semonick) Bolas; siblings, John (Shirley) Bolas, Dolores (Clarence) Castellano and Veronica (Andrew) Kino; and son-in-law, Matthew Summerville;.
Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
