Obituary for Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Lauver

Funeral Mass for Elizabeth Ann “Betty” (nee Stack) Lauver, 79, of Euclid, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, at Ss. Robert and William Catholic Church, 367 E. 260th St., Euclid. Fr. John Betters will officiate the Mass.
Betty passed away Jan. 28, 2019, at her home.
Born Sept. 4, 1939, in Cleveland, she had lived in Timberlake before moving to Euclid.
Betty was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. Betty was always the life of the party, who never missed an opportunity to make everyone laugh. She has found her way home and will be deeply missed. She was a member of Ss. Robert & William Catholic Church, Right to Life Society and Red Hat Society. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends in their Bridge and Pinochle clubs.
Before starting her family, she had worked at Halle Bros. and then General Electric as a payroll clerk.
“Miss Betty” retired from the Euclid City Schools Child Development Center, her loving “second family.”
Betty was the beloved wife of David Carl Lauver Jr.; loving mother of Beth Ann (Bill) Christen of Long Beach, Calif., Danielle Renee Lauver (Donyea Newsome) of Anaheim, Calif., Molly Elaine (Jerry) Decker of Clarksville, Tenn., David Carl (Lesley) Lauver III of Berea, and Deanna Shannon (Jonathan) McNutt of Euclid; cherished grandmother of Eryn Decker, Gillian Lauver, Matthew Decker, Ellie Christen, Kelcey Christen, Madison-Grey Newsome, Jonas Lauver, Cailey Christen, Madelyn McNutt, Jack Lauver, Cameron Christen and John John McNutt; sister of Johanna (Sean, dec.) Gannon, Helen (Gerald) Quinn, Nicholas Stack, Kathleen (Andy, dec.) Paulocsak, Eugene Jones and Edward Stack; and aunt and great-aunt of many.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Christopher and Johanna Mary (nee Lyng) Stack; siblings, James (Barbara, dec.) Stack, Margaret (John, dec.) Niton, John Stack, and Robert (Florence) Stack.
Family will receive friends from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, 2019, at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby. Burial at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville will be held at a later date.
